I worked on a photographic language that would invert nationalistic representations of ‘Australian’ ‘landscapes’.
Acknowledging the role romantic views of the landscape in art have played in settler society, I tried to present an alternate, fragmentary and artificially lit visual language to reflect on the legacy of this problematic relationship.
